Something really beautiful happened a little after midnight on March 1st, 2011 (well, March 2nd for you technical folks). The power of social media and viral campaigning displayed its awesome abilities. In a nutshell, it goes like this…
The homie Phonte geeks out on Twitter about a new music find. A few minutes later, he sends me the joints via AIM. I geek out just as emphatically and start tweeting like a man possessed. And before you know it, thanks to an onslaught of complimentary chatter by a slew of folks on Facebook and Twitter, and key co-signage by heavyweights such as ?uestlove, James Poyser, Mark de-Clive Lowe and Eric Roberson…the world was introduced to a trio of Los Angeles ladies (two twin sisters + a friend) named KING. All self-produced and all vocals theirs. My mind has been blown many times over in the past, but not in this fashion.
Ladies and gents, believe it or not, this EP was my first ever purchase on iTunes. And I think that’s all that needs to be said. Please follow suit and purchase.

I’m a sucker for female singers and with floetic harmonies. KING’s sound is astounding and inspiring! I was trying to find out some more info on these beautiful ladies but I’m not having too much luck in my search… I need to know if their performing anywhere soon so i can support! Download from itunes… done.
