BROOKLYN STAND UP! The last time I posted a MeLo-X joint (a redux of Kid Cudi’s “Day N’ Nite”), it received a pretty good response. And homie has been doing his thing since. Working on joints here and there, jettin’ overseas for a couple hot minutes and of course, DJing. However this project is something I’ve been waiting on ever since I got to sample it via some earbuds off a Blackberry in front of a club a couple weeks ago.
MeLo-X has taken Maxwell’s latest album BLACKsummers’night, chopped it to pieces and re-assembled it in his own crazy way. I can’t put into words how much I’m lovin’ this. You’re just gonna have to download and listen for yourselves. Plus Maxwell himself gave this a big co-sign. Props to Okayplayer for the presentation.
