Kudos to Blac Renderings for this piece I stumbled on recently. Here’s a great interview with Chicago-by-way-of-Louisiana producer / DJ The Twilite Tone. More people should know about his contributions to Chicago’s early hip-hop landscape. Especially his connections to Chi-town staple No I.D. and an up-and-coming emcee by the name of Common Sense. I definitely got an education.
