I ran across this nice little current.tv piece on Martha Cooper recently. Ms. Cooper is basically one of the main individuals responsible for bringing the graffiti art movement of the late ’70s and early ’80s from the underground into the light via her photography. The bulk of her photos was published into a critically-acclaimed book called Subway Art, which should be a mainstay on ANYONE’S coffee table.
