Big ups to the homie Michael Cordero, one of the owners of the Freshthetic boutique in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and the 1SOUL Designs independent clothing line. I think the Bay Area is doing some kinda of slow ninja creep into Brooklyn and are trying to take over. Mike’s probably one of the main folks in that movement. And I ain’t mad. There is alot of vibrance and creativity radiating from that part of Cali and it’s welcomed with open arms. That aformentioned vibrance is harnessed here. Here’s 1SOUL’s mission:
1SOUL is a grassroots Brooklyn based independent clothing company developed with the goals of inspiring, educating and stimulating the public to provoke change through culture, spirit, thought and political awareness. We are dedicated to the art of uplifting the consumers mind. We are tired of being prisoners of the commercialized fashion realm; we are always struggling to bring back “the message” in our designs.
